This site has been created to tell the story of the Porthgwarra Jacksons.
My name is Phil Jackson and I am the great, great, great grandson of William Jackson, born 1805 in Whitby.
William was one of eleven children, born to William and Elizabeth. He first arrived in Cornwall when a Preventative Water Guard station was opened at Prussia Cove to keep an eye on smuggling activities.
The site is being expanded and amended as information is discovered. Think of it as work in progress!
